Hi ,
I was working for company A and got my labor and I-140 approved and then i changed to company B. My priority date is jan 2005. Is there any way that i can continue my green card process with company A. WOuld be of great help if somone can tell me if there is any way to do it.
I think that as far as company A agrees, it shouldn't be a problem. I believe the GC application is for a future job offer.

I am in the same boat. Could someone answer this question ? I am trying to get affidavit from parents and the header reads "Affidavit of <wife's name> (known as <wife's previous name> at the time of birth". Is that good enough? BC has her pre-marriage name but it got issues just last week.

Agree with Jonty on checking at http://infopass.uscis.gov...
I needed to confirm my address change.. called uscis and I was told they can't see any personal info... basically read me my status on website and a long boring standard message.. saying you are within the normal processing dates and blah blah... Bottom line I was suggested to take infopass.. so I took.. Its my first infopass appt ever and it was very easy... shown me 2 dates avaialable for Aug (nothing in July).. So I pick one and then was asked to pick a time...
I selected as a follow up on pending case...
Hopefully they'll process my AOS before that :-)

Keeping my fingers crossed per 50-50 probability theory :-)

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Eng
Masters Degree in Computer Science
Nationality: India
Experience: 6 months (don't have docs to prove it though now..)
I would like to file my GC under EB2.
As per my little internet knowledge, is it true that for base requirements under EB2 are - MS + 0 years exp (Please correct me if i am wrong here)
I know one has to also prove that the job requires a MS degree ?? How can a lawyer suffice that requirement ?? Does 1 have to specify all latest hi-fi technologies for that ??
Are the other requirements of applying under EB2 ??
So to apply under EB2 one should belong to O*Net� JobZone 5, since i am comp eng/software developer i belong to category of O*Net� JobZone 4.
So for applying EB2 under O*Net� JobZone 4, do i have to show some experience related to that field/job ?? (Really confused about this one)

2. We applied for a change of address in May/2009 and received acknowledgement from USCIS in June/2009 - for all three of us.

Hello,
I will be getting married to a H1 holder in India and because of the time involved in obtaining a marriage certificate, am planning to leave shortly after the wedding with my existing B2/tourist visa. What are my options of applying for a H4 once I do that - would I have to come back to India to apply for that, or can it be done from Canada/Mexico - are there any risks pertaining to intent of travel associated with such an action. Thanking you in advance for valuable help in this matter!
You would be better off stamping your H4 in India, my 2 cents. Especially B1/B2 to any non-immigrant visas most of the time is a mess in my opinion.

See according to the consulate, they say the following
passport or travel document valid for at least three months after visa expiry date
In this case, they mean the schengen visa expiration date. For example, if I am travelling from April 1 to April 20th, they will give me visa only upto April 20th. They want my AP to have expiration atleast 3 months from April 20th (which will be July 20th) but my AP is expiring on April 10th.

Yes that�s a good suggestion. We need more people than whose GC is stuck. One issue is motivating them. I was almost shocked to see the indifference of many immigrants � some of them who went through the same process very recently. I came here almost 10 years ago as a student and many of my friends got GC�s/citizenship (they had their own hassles but now its over). When I talk to them what is going on now � they simply express surprise over how/why I didn�t get it even now and forget it. But I don�t feel bad to remind them again to visit this site or something else and do something (sending faxes /talking to their employers / contributing money/ whatever they can). My point is � don�t expect an immediate action from any, even friends � especially if this does not affect them; but don�t let this discourage you. Engage them in a discussion � most of them already know the terminology like retrogession/140/485/labor etc � remind them their own process and how difficult it was and how finally there is a systematic effort to do something about it. I am sure at least some people will respond favorably.

I got my I-140 (EB3) approved with the priority date of November-2004.
I applied another Labor (EB2) in Feb 2007. When applygin for I-140 for this labor, my lawyer forgot to use the approved I-140 for getting the old priority date (Nov 2004 priority). So, I got the I-140 approval for EB2 case with Feb 2007 Priority date.
Now, can the lawyer change the priority date on the I-140 (EB2) to Nov 2004 using the previous I-140.

While driving back , at POE the process is simple. Always show your AP before passport and they will let you in. Never show the passport before the AP.

In recent times we are not able to see cases in online system and only way to get that into online system is by doing an address change. Unless the case comes into online system we can NOT add that to our protfolio for tracking.
